Lab Intro.

About Lab.

Since 2010, our laboratory has been studying the development of advanced intelligent agricultural machinery technologies with high levels of convenience and productivity by combining engineering technologies such as machinery, electronics, electricity, and computers.

Recently, we have been focusing on smart farms and digital agriculture, which collect agricultural environmental conditions and crop growth data using 4th industrial revolution technologies such as AI, robots, and UAVs to utilize time and resources more efficiently.

In this regard,
the research topics
we are currently working
on for 2023 are as follows:

  • Development of autonomous agricultural machinery and unmanned robots for agricultural operations using GNSS and image sensors.
  • Development of crop growth monitoring and agricultural management systems, such as decision-making systems, using UAVs and deep learning image processing technology.
  • Development of AI-based complex control systems for greenhouses and plant factories, such as predicting environmental changes and actuator control technology for optimal crop cultivation.
  • Development of a variable water irrigation system for controlling liquid content and reducing water usage according to crop growth stages for K-Smart Farm.
